LED Throwies
LED throwies are simple to build and fun to throw. They are made up of an LED (diffused works best), a battery and a magnet. Stick them all together with tape or glue and you're done. Once they're dry (if you glued them) you can throw them, or place them, on any magnetic surface to make glowing art. Fun!
Here's a great instructable that shows the basic process. There are plenty of other links from there to updated build instructions to help you make throwies that blink, throwies that you can turn on and off with a switch, and more.
A word of warning: if you decide to make throwies, check with the person who owns or controls that space you'd like to use them on. If you haven't gotten permission, putting throwies on something could be considered vandalism. The great thing is, the Library has all metal walls and is very throwie friendly.
